Mr Mark Taylor, PhD FRCSI FRCS(Eng) FRCS(Gen Surg)

Hello, My name is Mark Taylor, a Consultant in General and Hepatobiliary ( liver, pancreas and gallbladder) surgery based at the Mater Hospital in Belfast. I am the Lead for Education, Research and Training on the Council of the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS) and President Elect for the Great Britain and Ireland Hepatopancreaticobiliary Association (GBIHPBA). I am a Visiting Professor in the Department of Biochemical Science at Ulster University. I sit on the Medical Advisory Board of Bowel Cancer UK.

I have considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of General and Hepatobiliary surgery, in particular, liver, pancreas and gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, hernia repair.

As a Trustee and District Medical Officer of St John Ambulance, the nation’s leading first aid charity, I am dedicated to training local communities and raising awareness to highlight the importance of first aid training in saving lives.

Currently I offer consultations, and surgery for patients both within the NHS and in a private capacity at specialist clinics in the greater Belfast area.
