Hello, My name is Mark Taylor, a Consultant in General and Hepatobiliary (liver, pancreas and gallbladder) surgery based at the Mater Hospital in Belfast (Belfast Health and Social Care Trust). I am the current President of Great Britain and Ireland Hepatobiliary Association (GBIHPBA, www.gbihpba.org.uk) and President of the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland (PSGBI, www.psgbi.org). I am the Northern Ireland Director of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Visiting Professor in the Department of Biochemical Science at Ulster University. I sit on the Medical Advisory Board of Bowel Cancer UK.
I have considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of General and Hepatobiliary surgery, in particular, liver, pancreas and gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, hernia repair.
I am a Trustee of the St John Ambulance in Northern Ireland.
Currently I offer consultations, and surgery for patients both within the NHS and in a private capacity at specialist clinics in the greater Belfast area.
